Academic partners
The 502 Project highlights and extends cybersecurity education efforts at partnering universities and state colleges, expanding the reach and scale of locally developed curricula, maintaining connections between faculty and students, and providing access to centralized events.
The 502 Project is explicitly designed to support and amplify cybersecurity education and events throughout academia and industry by providing centralized participant support, pre- and post- event activities, and persistent community engagement and moderation – with reporting options for tenure and promotion efforts.
As a community group and academic partner, we provide:
- A robust, legally compliant, and responsibly moderated Discord community
- Nationally centralized support for cybersecurity community outreach, events, and service, connecting interested parties to both local/in-person and national/virtual communities as well as pre- and post- event activities to keep conversations going
- Tested cybersecurity curricula, innovative skill development events, Capture the Flag challenges, and opportunities for continuing education and professional development credits, along with attribution to contributors
